Globco's team was growing and the offices in Lévis and Laval were getting tight. They moved to shared desks and needed a booking tool that worked across both locations. elia was up and running in a few days.

Globco is a Canadian transportation and logistics company. It handles 3PL, ocean and air freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, and distribution. Founded about 15 years ago, it operates across offices in Lévis and Laval with a hybrid work model.
Globco's team had been growing and the office space was starting to feel tight. Taking on more space wasn't on the table, so the company moved to unassigned desks instead.
That shift worked in theory. In practice, it meant staff needed a way to reserve a spot before coming in and check who else was planning to be there
With staff on hybrid schedules split between Lévis and Laval, Globco had no system for managing shared desks. There was no way to know if a desk would be free, or whether teammates would be in that day:

elia was running across both offices within days. Staff could book desks right away, from their phone or computer before leaving home.
Deploying a new tool is one thing. Making sure it keeps working for the team as the company grows is another.
The elia team stayed involved after the rollout, collecting feedback and supporting staff as the platform became part of daily operations.
On a team spread across Lévis and Laval, staff had no way to know which colleagues would be in or where before arriving.
Employees can see when colleagues are planning to come in and at which location. They can book a nearby desk and coordinate in-office time in advance. elia also makes it easier for staff to move between Globco's offices when needed.
On a hybrid schedule with unassigned desks, staff had no way to know if a spot would be available or what equipment would be at each workstation before coming in.
Employees pick a desk based on which office they need, what equipment they're working with, and how much noise they can handle. They check availability and book from their phone before heading in.
Growing a team without expanding office space puts more pressure on shared desks to work reliably. Staff need to find a desk and find each other, and when the team is split across two cities, the coordination problem is bigger than most single-location companies deal with. Globco needed booking that could handle both the logistics and the colleague visibility, across two locations at once.
